Thank you once again for putting an incomplete game into a more complete state. You honestly have done wonders for my experience with this.
Some suggestions for your consideration.
1) As some have mentioned, Tasnica can be explored further.
2) This might be challenging but having an area with regards to the "Underworld" might be good since its mentioned that Thanatos and the baddies made a deal with them. I recall there was an unused evil looking thing sprite. That can be explored. Of course I guess the story might be abit original. Likewise, given the lore on the ruins mentioning along the lines of trying to summon something bad, that can be linked. Additionally, I do not ever recall it being mentioned why Dyluck is someone between good and evil that makes the perfect vessel. Perhaps all this can become 1 part of the story
3) the mysterious moving object in Northtown that is viewed from the overworld after a certain point in the game but has no meaning can be done for some simple fun event

2 - Yes some more underworld for late/end game could be pretty nice! I just have to figure out how to do it so it doesn't look too cheap with what I am able to do.
Just yesterday I was thinking about that Thanatos line about Dyluck. Something like "Born in the shadows and raised in the light of Mana". Very mysterious, even more since Dyluck's parents are nice elderly people in Kippo village. There's definitely something to use here if I find the right way to do it.
3 - Haha! That thing! True, could be a fun easter egg. Now I just have to figure out what it could be and how I could make it on a ground map.

I always shunned MSU-1 due to the wild arrangements. But, I recently got interested in it again due to this guy's work on finding the original instrumentation used and "restoring" with uncompressed/CD quality. If you're interested here's the music on YouTube.

Thank you for this great addition and expansion of SoM. I'm also looking forward to SoMCC and your new improvements. I've got three questions, since I'm a big fan of trying to get it all... 😀
1) I'm seconding @terminusone concerning MSU-1: Would it be possible to just implement the hack per default? What I understand is that it would allow anyone to use MSU if they add the sound files and if these aren't there, then it just uses the original files... Maybe you could ask and borrow from Secret of Mana MSU-1 ?
2) And this has been asked in the romhacking-forum: Is there any compability to Relocalized ? Especially considering translation.... Or would it even be possible to implement the changes into SoM+ by default?
3) Finally: What is the compability between SoM Plus and Climate Crisis? I can't seem to find an answer...

Hi Uto! Let's answer your questions 😉
1) Maybe someday! I always add new improvements when publishing new major versions of the hack.
2) No compatibility with Relocalized. There are multiple script improvements out there and I couldn't really choose one to work with. Now I am to the point where it would take a huge amount of time to fuse any script improvement with the hack. I will probably look into this when the hack will stop growing. Doing it at the same time as translations seems more efficient. So far, we've only been fixing major mistakes with the original translation.
3) SoM Plus and Climate Crisis are not compatible. With Climate Crisis V2, I'll bring over some parts of SoM Plus and also create a few new areas exclusive to CC. It would be a bit overwhelming to really co-develop 2 hacks, so I chose to keep differences between them. This also allows more flexibility for both hacks (creating more different climates in CC and having some cool looking areas in Plus).
@tomm Thanks for the reply! Your points are totally understandable - was modding a lot for Elder Scrolls - so I also know how much time things take and many don't consider the everyday obligations like work, family and so on... Still want to make a suggestion of maybe bringing someone from the relocalized team or somebody else onboard to tackle exactly this? As it sounds:
- you're teaming up anyway... But you've probably already considered this all yourself and maybe it's just to complicated as you say!? Nonetheless: I'll be looking greatly forward on CC V2! Time constraints mean I have to prioritize stuff. And the main purpose of Plus is the new chapters. Enhancements are icing on the cake. 😛
Help would be great but would barely speed up the process. I'll do what I can in time. There is still a lot I want to add and enhance, so be patient, it's a bit further down the list.
