Preview Secret of Mana Climate Crisis 2.0
It’s been a while! I have been busy working on the big update of Secret of Mana: Climate Crisis.
The new version will have more changes to magic spells. Here I wanted to show you a spell I replicated from Trials of Mana: the leaf saber. This Dryad saber spell will allow any character to drain MP from enemies. 1/16th of damage dealt (rounded down) will be converted into MP drain.
If you manage to free Dryad, all your characters will be able to regain MP without using any fairy walnuts. However, casting this spell will consume a significant amount of MP, so you’d better choose your targets wisely when hitting with your imbued weapons.
Leaf Saber? That’s really neat.
Looking forward to Climate Crisis v2.0 and seeing all these unique ideas you’ve been working on. Definitely worth taking your time on it to get it just right – we can wait..!
I was thinking how great it would be to have an enemy or two (or maybe like an optional boss) to have Leaf Saber as well 😩 that would be absolutely exhilarating.
It will happen! Some will love it, some will hate the double knockback (once for hp damage and once for mp damage).
To those who hate it, I would send them the Bear Grylls ‘Improvise. Adapt. Overcome’ meme 😅

Thank you for your work!! I was thinking of starting this hack. Do you recomend to wait until V2.0 is out or this will take long and I can go with V1.2 and then patch the V.2 later?
I would recommend to wait until V2 is out. But it is taking longer than I thought and will take a while to release. I’d say not before this winter.
V2 will change/improve things (over V1) from the very beginning of the game. Saves won’t be compatible between V1 and V2.
